Eastvale homes have more yard drains than older neighborhoods do. That is not an accident — it is a design consequence. Newer does not mean maintenance-free

Three factors compound here:

Why we jet rather than snake

Running a cable through a silted area drain opens a channel through the middle of the blockage. Water moves again, which feels like a fix. But the compacted sediment is still lining the pipe, and it will close back in — often before the end of the same rainy season.

High-pressure jetting scours the pipe wall to wall and flushes the material out the discharge point instead of pushing it further down the line. On a root intrusion, a cutting head removes the mass rather than boring through it. The difference is measured in years, not weeks.
